Joan Haffel
Teacher
Joan has been immersed in the practice of yoga for over 15 years. A dedicated mom and avid tennis player, Joan’s journey into yoga deepened after a calf injury sidelined her from tennis. Determined to stay active, she discovered yoga as a form of physical therapy, which led her to explore the transformative power of yoga further. After relocating to Bluffton, Joan continued her practice at Dancing Dogs Yoga and decided to pursue her passion by enrolling in a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course at Bluffton Yoga School. Under the expert guidance of lead teacher Libby Ferrato and assistant Margarita Micolou, Joan delved deep into her training, uncovering new insights and strengthening her connection to the practice. Now a certified yoga teacher, Joan has turned her passion into a fulfilling career, bringing her dream to life. Joan specializes in vinyasa flow, yin yoga, and special seasonal practices, including moon flows. Her teaching emphasizes flexibility, breathwork, and she is currently integrating chakra work into her classes, offering a well-rounded and holistic approach to yoga.
