Michelle Crawford
Teacher
Michelle has engaged with various styles of yoga, off and on, for over 20 years. While not a consistent part of her exercise and self-care practice in the past, she has always come back to it to ground and center herself at different times in her life. As she has settled into the Lowcountry, Michelle has had the opportunity to shift her focus to areas of whole-body wellness that she is passionate about. One of those is yoga, which she enjoys practicing, sharing, and connecting with others over.
She enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training at Dancing Dogs Yoga (DDY) in January 2024. At DDY, Michelle learned Vinyasa and Yin styles of teaching, while being exposed to many other styles and elements of yoga practices. As she has grown over the year, she has incorporated meditation into her practice, as another wellness passion area, and has expanded her teaching skills to include chair yoga.
Michelle’s approach to yoga is about finding balance and connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Her regular class at DDY is gentle yoga, a slow-paced class which includes gentle movements through standing and seated postures, and a meditation towards the end of the practice. She also enjoys teaching Vinyasa, Yin, and other DDY classes as needed.
